Snow Volleyball has been an official competition form supported by the CEV since 2015. Two years after, FIVB adapted the sport and it was presented at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics as an exhibition game. Since then the sport has developed during the past years, with more specialized players. It is strong in Europe, with both a Tour and EuroVolley Championships. The pandemic has slowed down the development, but still 14 national championships and three European Tour events were played 2021-2022.
Within NEVZA, Snow Volleyball Championships have been played in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Due to the pandemic, it has only been organized in Sweden 2020 and 2022. The ambition is to organize in at least these three member countries and, eventually, introduce also zonal events during the coming season 2022-2023. Dates and venues are not yet decided.
