The North European Volleyball Zonal Association was founded in 2002, and the following National Federations are members: Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. NEVZA is recognized by FIVB and CEV as a Zonal (Regional) Association.

NEVZA will organise every year U17 and U19 Volleyball Zonal Championship and Volleyball NEVZA Club Championships (NCC) all of which are for both genders. NEVZA Beach Volley yearly competitions are respectively U17, U19 and U21 NEVZA Beach Volley Championships and NEVZA Zonal Beach Volley Tournaments.

NEVZA will also organize Volleyball Zonal Qualification Tournaments with direct qualification to respective age group’s European Championships Finals.

Also plans for organizing NEVZA Masters Tournament for at least 2 different age groups are in progress.

All member Federations of NEVZA are invited to participate in all competitions. The seniors play preliminary rounds and finals. The age group championships are usually played over a week-end and played in groups with semi-finals and finals.

NEVZA is also encouraging and helping all member in different kind of Development Projects, either common for all or some member National Federations.

NEVZA is governed by yearly NEVZA General Assembly, NEVZA Official and Technical Meetings chaired by the NEVZA President – Mrs Annika SJÖBERG (SWE) 2024 – – and assisted by NEVZA General Secretary – Mr. Simon Dahl (SWE) 2024-. The President and General Secretary are elected every second year, on a rotating scheme between the member countries’ President and General Secretary.
